Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: (Philippians 2:9)
Comment: If God has already highly exalted him, would it not be wise for us to exalt him as God the Father exalts him? If God has given him a name which is above every name, would it not be wise for us to honor that name as God the Father exalts him? If we will revere that name everywhere we go, we will be wholesome in our personal integrity and our behavior will closer to what it ought to be.
The old hymn: Take the Name of Jesus with You is a wonderful and powerful song for us to be singing these days. It's probably in your hymn book. Why not look it up, memorize it and sing it everywhere you go? I just love it!
I used to hear my daddy sing that even when he was drinking heavily. Can you imagine a drunken man singing that song? He never got over the power of it from the time he was a boy and it stayed with him through some of his darkest days until he was once again in harmony with the Lord.
